Botox® Cosmetic
Botox injections will temporarily reduce facial lines like crows feet and the frown lines between your brows, safely and easily. Cosmetic improvements are not just for women! Many men enjoy the benefits of Botox.

Hair Reduction
Pulsed light hair removal works by emitting pulses of intense light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair.

This process offers rapid hair reduction with minimal discomfort and treatment time. Small areas, such as the underarms or upper lip, can be treated in 10 minutes or less. Large areas, like the back or legs, can be treated in under an hour.

Unlike waxing, there is no need to let hair grow out between treatments, so you can remain hair free all the time.

RejuveLux Photofacial
Skin rejuvenation has advanced beyond the painful procedures of the past. The RejuveLux Process uses pulses of concentrated light for the treatment of sun damage and visible veins in order to help improve skin tone.

A pulsed light photofacial can help clear:

Sun Damage- wide areas of pigmentation on the face, chest and arms
Sunspots- individual pigmented lesions, also known as age spots
Rosacea- general inflammation of the cheeks and face
Spider Veins- individual vessels, which can be red, blue or purple in color.

The RejuveLux Process provides the most skin-safe, comfortable, and effective photofacials available, without any downtime. RejuveLux appointments are quick, and you can return to work or other activities looking and feeling fine.

Pigmented Lesions
The mechanism of pigmented lesion removal is based upon selective destruction of melanocytes and melanosome epidermal keratinocytes. The lesion darkens and crusts after treatment, and is naturally sloughed off the skin within two weeks.

Restylane®
Restylane is a natural cosmetic dermal-filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds. Cosmetic improvements are not just for women! Many men enjoy the benefits of Restylane.

Radiesse®
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a safe, next generation dermal filler that is aiming to become the new standard for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds. Years of rigorous clinical studies prove that Radiesse provides long lasting correction of smile lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe, and minimally invasive procedure. Radiesse treatments deliver a natural look that lasts.

How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse is gently injected into the skin in small amounts with a very fine needle. Radiesse stimulates the body to produce new collagen. This unique response provides immediate, visible improvement of folds and wrinkles, and provides long-lasting and beautiful results.

Is Radiesse safe?
In years of rigorous clinical testing and use by physicians in hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide, Radiesse has been shown to be safe and effective. In the FDA clinical studies there were virtually no allergic reactions. There may be some normal injection related occurrences, such as bruising, discomfort, swelling, or redness that typically resolve on their own.

How soon can I expect results?
How long will the results last? The results are immediate. Radiesse continues to deliver results as it stimulates your body to produce new collagen. Results may last a year or more in many patients, which may result in fewer office visits for retreatments. Since results may vary, be sure to discuss your expectations with your doctor.

Scar Reduction
Hypertrophic and keloid scars can be treated. The surface vessels collapse which cause redness. Once the vessels are collapsed, the scar lightens in appearance.

Sclerotherapy
A simple solution for reducing unsightly leg veins. In this treatment, a solution is injected into each affected vein, causing the vein to collapse and fade from view.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Palomar pulsed light different from a laser?
The Palomar Starlux Pulsed Light and Laser System is the most powerful light based aesthetic system in the world. Pulsed light systems and lasers are very similar, but Palomar Pulsed Light Systems use a much larger treatment window than most lasers. This spreads light over wider areas of skin and allows faster coverage of the skin and quicker treatments as a result.

What are Palomar treatments like?
Your treatment provider will move the hand piece over your skin, pulsing it all the while. Each pulse will send a beam of light through your skin. A flashing light, an audible tone, and a mild sensation on the skin will tell you when the hand piece is being pulsed.

What should I expect after treatment?
Immediately after treatment, you can expect a mild sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling. This usually lasts 2-24 hours, and can be soothed with cold gel or ice packs.

After Hair Reduction - The treated hair will continue to appear for 7-30 days post-treatment. This is not new hair growth, but the treated hairs being expelled from the skin. At any given time, some of your hair is not in a phase of active growth. Therefore, you will need more than one treatment to affect the growth of all your unwanted hair. Typically, several treatments will be necessary to achieve permanent hair reduction.

After Rosacea Treatments - skin tone will be more normal, with less pronounced redness within a week after treatments

After Spider Vein Treatments - vessels may disappear after treatment or they may appear darker and then fully or partially fade within 10-14 days.

After SunSpots/Sun Damage Treatments - after treatment, the sunspots will darken and be naturally shed from the skin within 1-2 weeks

Typically, several treatments will be necessary to achieve complete clearance of sunspots, rosacea, and vessels.

How painful is it?
Even though StarLux delivers enormous power, patient discomfort is not a big problem due to Palomar’s innovative technologies. Smooth Pulse Technology allows StarLux to deliver light in one smooth, gentle pulse, rather than the train of multiple power spikes (which increases the risk of skin damage) that many other technologies use. Smooth Pulse Delivery prevents a rapid rise in epidermal temperature for far more comfortable treatments.

Many people describe the pain as that of a rubber band flicking against your skin.

How much does it cost?
Every individual has a particular skin type. Some skin types respond with fewer treatments than others. Therefore, it is impossible for us to quote a price without first evaluating you. During your complimentary consultation, a physician will evaluate your skin type and give you an idea of how many treatments will be necessary to achieve your objective. In general, you will find that our rates are competitive with industry standards.
